- Lifestyle and the reason why they wish to become an au pair.
- Medical report verified by the au pair’s physician.
- Detailed childcare history, experience and skills.
- Two character references verified by Diverse Au.
- Pair representative.
- At least two child care references verified by Diverse Aupair representative.
- Pass a criminal background check and show evidence.
- Interests and skills.
- Documentation of completion of secondary education (or equivalent).
- An essay to the host family describing au pair’s personality, lifestyle, childcare experience, etc.
- Photographs showing them with the children they took care of, friends, neighbours and family.
- A video talking about why you want to be an aupair and basically letting the potential host family get to know you better.
Be Interviewed & Pass Test
After the information portion is completed, all candidates are personally interviewed, in English, by a Diverse Aupairs representative. They are also required to complete and pass our psychometric test, designed to assess the candidate’s suitability for the au pair program.
Interview with Families
Once your application is approved, your online profile will become visible for our host families. If you and a host family decide to match with each other, you will start preparing for your departure.
Apply for Visa
After confirming a match with your host family, we will send you all documents needed for your visa process. Your job is to apply for a visa in your home country and attend an interview at the U.S. Embassy. (Please note that you are responsible for paying for your own visa application). You will receive all program materials and the first part of your training program.
Travel Arrangements
Once your visa gets approved, your plane ticket will be sent and all information regarding your travel.
